Band Mate has been created to allow UK musicians to connect with each other. Find musicians in your area, join up with other site members for jams or gigs. Creating listings and profiles. Send users private messages. Comment on user profiles and listings. Make friends and have fun with musicians in your area! That's what Band Mate is all about.
The site has been created and is maintained by one person, me. It's a one man show. I have created this site as a labour of love, it's for you to use to and gain from, and it's a way for me to give something back to the internet and music communities, both of which I have benefited from hugely in the past.
It's not my aim to turn this site into an advert-ridden mess. I intend to keep it free from such garbage for as long as I can. So relax, unwind, Band Mate is an ad-free zone. In fact, since there aren't any membership fees, subscription fees, premium accounts or any other hidden costs within the site, you don't need to worry about me trying to apply my powers or persuasion on you and extract money from you while you browse the site in your quest for a new band mate or jamming buddy, I'm not that cruel!
It's still early-days for this site, having only recently sprung into existence. User feedback is very important to me, as it enables me to understand the needs and wants of site community.
