Hi we are a guitarist and bass player, both in our early 30s, looking to start a rockabilly style project. We've both played in quite a few bands with different styles of music in the past but have always wanted to try doing a fun rockabilly band with some modern twists.
We're looking for a drummer who can ideally rehearse once a week and is open to doing some small gigs/open mics. We don't have a singer for the project at the moment and we're thinking of keeping it primarily instrumental but are open to doing one or two songs with vocals. We thought we could possibly expand to include other instruments like; woodwind, brass or strings if everything works out well. Musically we're thinking of doing relatively straight forward structures but to then add a little improvisation here and there to keep it interesting.
