| Description: | I played in a punk band in the early 80s then a folk-rock/ceilidh band which I was with for 30 years. I then joined a band with 3 ex-professional musicians for 5 years, playing material by the Beatles, Stones, T-Rex, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Kinks, Free/Bad Company, Spencer Davis Group, Small Faces, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Steve Miller Band etc. This band split just before Covid. From 2023 until March 2026 I was in a successful local band in Bristol/ North Somerset playing disco, funk and soul covers from the 70s onwards – think Sister Sledge, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Wild Cherry, Chic, Jacksons, Real Thing, Bruno Mars and CeeLo Green. This band has just split up. Now I’d be happy to play covers in the pop/rock/disco/country/funk/soul genres. Jazz, heavy metal and punk are not my bag. I don’t play drum solos, but if you’re looking for someone to give you a solid back beat, get in touch. I've also done some backing vocals in the last 2 bands I’ve been in. I've played several hundred gigs with the various bands I've been in - mainly (though not exclusively) in the wider Bristol/Bath/SW England area, plus gigs in Yorkshire and France. I live in Cheddar and am happy to travel a reasonable distance for rehearsals and gigs. 2 gigs a month would be ideal. Professional 6-drum acoustic kit although most recently I’ve been playing with a 4-drum set up. I have Roland electronic components to create a hybrid kit, mics and stands for bass and snare drums, plus a vocal mic and In-ear monitoring. |
