Established classic rock Styled Band in The Leeds area (mid 20s-early30s). We may have an opening in the coming weeks for a new lead guitarist. We already have several gigs/ open air events booked in immediately after lockdown restrictions are due to be lifted so need someone who can be ready with limited rehearsal time. For our cover gigs we play music from bands such as black Sabbath, pink Floyd, iron maiden, Metallica, tenacious d? (for fun) and many others. We are also very open to writing some new original music. Do you think you could handle an all electric lead guitar role? Traditionally we have gone out as a four piece group consisting of a lead vocal, bassist, lead guitar and drummer. This has worked very well for us as our current lead guitar is incredibly accomplished and able to cover much of the rhythm whilst maintaining all lead guitar parts. Not an easy task. We need personality and committment as much as playing ability. Our audience has come to expect a very high standard from the band and we have never let our audience down. The lead guitar has always been a pivotal role in this band... Nothing is certain at the moment as our lead guitarist only dropped the bombshell that he may be leaving very recently. This is a preliminary enquiry aimed at any who feel this role falls within their comfort zone. I can't really reveal too much else about the band at the moment as it may compromise gigs we already have in the diary. If we feel you are up to the challenge there may be a short wait (a few weeks) before we can give a definite answer (you'll know as we do).
