Description: Hey I'm Joel and am looking to form an acoustic male trio with a harmonic folky edge. Looking for males that sing roughly in the age bracket 25-34. If you play good guitar and/or piano and/or write songs, then that's a bonus. I'm very particular in what I’m looking for so if interested so far, please read on. I sing in a low to medium voice so I’m looking for at least one of the voices to be slightly higher than the norm or at least able to adapt to this range to create nice harmonies. What I'm most interested in is establishing a good band dynamic where we can easily spend many hours in each other’s company. Hence, you don’t have to be an amazing singer or fit exactly in the age bracket, as long as you can harmonise nicely, are a nice and adaptable person and have similar music tastes then that's paramount. I would say the 2 groups that have directly inspired me are Simon & Garfunkel and CSNY (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.) I am a huge fan of the mtv unplugged concerts such as Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Neil Young and Alice In Chains. The unplugged sound is what I am looking to recreate in a lot of our music. If you like any of these bands/artists then we're off to a good start! If interested please send me a short mp3 of you singing (and playing an instrument if you would like) to [email protected] – it can just be a verse and chorus so I get an idea and I can send you one of me. I know it's a detailed ad but I am looking for people that are dedicated and really want to play and share in the kind of music I've mentioned - once the group's formed I'd be looking to practice quite a lot, perhaps as much as 3, maybe even 4 times a week to see if we can reach a really successful level - please bear this in mind when applying. If we just have fun playing and don’t get signed etc then so be it, but I'd like to try and aim for the top if we can. Thanks very much for reading and hope to hear from you soon, - Joel
