Competent bassist/guitarist. Approaching use by date but a good few gigs in me yet (hopefully). Reasonable staff notation reader. Happy to work from fully arranged charts, or to busk from lead sheets/chord charts. Reasonable chops for both guitar and bass, but far from virtuoso level: e.g. bass chops include slap but I’m no Louis Johnson; likewise, I know my way around a six string fretboard, but I’m nobody’s guitar hero.
More than 35 years regular gigging and studio experience. Overwhelming majority of this being properly paid work, i.e. MU rate or thereabouts. Also some music theatre pit experience.
Looking for gigs/projects that have either reasonably serious musical intent or sensible financial reward, preferably both. Happy to do occasional easy local gigs for fun/beer money, but I need to be sensible about anything else.
