| Description |
Undercover Purple play a genre of music we call 'Funk'n'Roll': a mixture of funk, rock and pop covers that are all related in some way to Prince. A five-piece, Surrey-based band that shows off a dynamic lead singer and punchy saxophone, present an upbeat set with songs from Prince, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan through to Madonna, Janelle Monae and Lizzo.
We gig once a month around the pubs and clubs of Guildford, Farnham, Godalming, but are looking to expand our reach and add to the band with a keyboardist - someone who wants to play funky riffs rather than stringy chords. Also able to do backing vox and perhaps some percussion. We rehearse in Godalming.
We do it primarily for fun, but are committed and have been gigging with the current lineup for over 2 years.
