We’re a Soul/Motown band that were in the process of starting up and getting gig ready. Currently we have a 3 piece male/female vocal line up, as well as bass, drums, guitar and sax. We’re looking for a keyboard player and trumpet player to complete the lineup. We’ve been rehearsing for a few months now and are about 2/3 of the way towards a gig ready set.
Style wise it's mostly classic upbeat soul (think Blues Bros/Commitments) but also looking at including Motown and maybe some modern numbers switched up to match the rest of the style. It’s all covers and great tunes aimed at getting the audience up and dancing.
In terms of level commitment we rehearse once weekly on Tuesday evenings in Chichester and once established we're looking to gig every month to 6 weeks time frame. This is all about having fun rather than being a big earner and while we want to do everything to a high standard, we also recognise people will have other commitments too rather than gigging solidly every week. |
