The M62s are an established covers band in Leeds / North Yorkshire and looking for a new bassist ASAP.
We're usually a four piece, covering a wide range of music - Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Cardigans, Beatles, Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, Journey, Blondie, Janis Joplin... etc, and also open-minded to suggestions! Our usual bass player is going on paternity leave for the foreseeable future so we're recruiting a replacement.
This is not a super busy band - we're all working around busy professional careers and family, so aim to practice a few times a month, and gig maybe 4-5 times a year. It's a hobby but we do take it seriously and we play well.
Age range in the band currently 30-45ish and we live around North Leeds and Wetherby area.
What we'd like...
- Someone who's in a similar situation and wants to have a hobby around work commitments.
- A solid bass player - think Cliff Burton / Geddy Lee, but playing in a covers band Wink
- A nice person who's in it for primarily in it for the friendship and fun, but who'll also put the practice in.
- Someone who can drive and has their own gear.
