| Description: | A venue, made for musicians wanting to play music, be in a band, and have fun. We have a RockClub every Saturday 10am - 2pm. This is the place where most of our musicians (under 18's) start out, by finding potential members for their band, and exploring different instruments and styles. A Leader is there to guide the Club, and help when required. When musicians are are ready, they can progress up to The Band Experience.... where they can develop and enhance their bands skills and performance, and get termly gigging opportunities. The venue has great acoustics, a small stage, private softdrink bar, Drum kits, amplifiers and Vocal PA Systems provided. Rock Club sessions are 4 hours and cost £3.75 an hour per person. We are under management and are approaching labels very soon with a 6 track ep we have just completed . All leading up to a European tour late this year/early next year. Unfortunately the lead guitarist who recorded our latest ep with us was unable to commit fully at this present time due to travel plans he was unable to alter. We are a professional band with a lot of exciting plans in place with an excellent team building around us , our management and Producer being 2 of them. We are not looking for any other writers at this time however we're a nice bunch and are open to the possibility of future collaboration if we find the right person. | Description: | Hello! We are a funk rock band based in Reading comprising of a drummer, bassist/ pianist and rhythm/lead guitarist/ backing vocalist. We have been playing together for nearly 2 years and are looking for a new lead vocalist/ songwriter to join the band due to our current lead vocalist/ songwriter leaving. We want to get to a stage where we can gig regularly at local venues as soon as possible. We currently have a female singer but would prefer a young, male singer similar age to ourselves (23) who lives in the Reading area. Ideally someone who wants to practise up to 3 times a week and is really enthusiastic and passionate about singing/ songwriting in the genre of funk rock with good stage presence. The location of every practise would be at our house in Reading. Our main influence by a long way is The Red Hot Chili Peppers, mainly their earlier albums up to and including Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Have been playing guitar for about 8 years, many of my original lessons were from James Ashby (from The Quotes) who is now touring with Carol Decker. Have gigged at Oxjam festivals and Marvellous Festival, Facebar and various other pub gigs. Have just passed my grade 5 electric guitar exam and today got an A* in my music GCSE.
